A Reverse Advent Calendar

Thank you, everyone! So many bags of non-perishable items for the food pantry were received that we had to hold a sorting party after church on January 1st! All your donations have now been shelved in the Food Pantry–and most of them are likely to go out to our neighbors in the January Food Pantry distributions–Saturday, 1/14 and 1/28. Again, thanks everyone for donating–and Casco Bay CAN for the bags, which will also go to our Food Pantry clients.
- Place a decorated basket, bag or box in your family room or under the tree. (We have reusable shopping bags from Casco Bay CAN for you to use to gather items and/or to bring them in. Returned bags will be given to pantry clients.)
- Each day, put one
non-perishable food item from your pantry into the bag/basket/box. - Bring the bag/basket/box to church at Christmas–as a gift to the Food Pantry.
The months AFTER the holidays are the lowest months for food donations. REVERSE ADVENT CALENDAR gifts can make a difference in how our neighbors make it through the winter!
