Prayer Flag Potluck Lots of Fun for Everyone
Sunday, September 27 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
A prayer flag is a colorful rectangular cloth, often found strung along mountain ridges and high peaks in the Himalayas. Prayer flags are simple devices that, coupled with the natural energy of the wind, are thought to quietly harmonize the environment and promote happiness and good fortune among all living things.
Fabric Artist SHARON VANDERMAY brought in her whole stash of supplies (paint sticks, cloth squares, rubbing plates, assorted beads and decorative embelishments…) and showed us how to get our own prayer flags started.
The overwhelming response was: “When can we do this again?!” You can contact Sharon: sharon[at]studioquiltit.com
